As doctors dedicated to improving our patients' health, we frequently witnessed the profound impact that nutrition had on overall well-being. We became increasingly concerned about the detrimental effects of poor dietary choices, which often led to chronic illnesses among those we cared for. Through our training in functional medicine, we recognized that many health issues could be addressed by emphasizing a diet rich in wholesome, nutrient-dense foods.

 

Determined to provide our patients and friends with better options, we began exploring the potential of locally sourced, quality meat. We quickly realized that the conventional poultry available to many was often lacking in nutritional value and produced under conditions that did not prioritize health. This understanding sparked the idea of starting our own farm, allowing us to produce pasture-raised, organic poultry that we could trust to nourish our community.

 

By establishing our farm in Walnut, MS, we made a commitment to not only improve the quality of the food available but also to support sustainable practices. Our goal was to offer healthier, tastier, and more affordable alternatives to what was found in big grocery stores. We wanted to ensure that everyone could access the quality meat that we believed was essential for better health.
